Yes, of course it's a fake. The chemistry/fire/straw thing is just for those who skipped Science 101. Here's how I think it's done: After the straw is withdrawn, the camera is stopped and the glass is sprayed with carbon dioxide gas, which freezes the water enough to make some of it solid (you can see a few dribbles as the glass is overturned) The camera is turned back on and voila! Ice! Except that you can see some of the CO2 evaporating from the tabletop and the light changes as well. Not too bad....
